GPS What is it? What is it used for? And how does it work?

GPS What is it?

GPS stands for GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM.

What is it used for?

GPS is mainly used for global location. GPS was invented in the United States for military use, but it is now widely used for civilian use.

And how does it work?

The GPS device mainly works in three segments
  • Space segment (satellite)
  • Transfer segment (data center)
  • User segment
When you search for a location on a GPS, it requires a minimum of three and a maximum of twenty-one satellite signals. Currently, the deployment of GPS has increased tremendously. All location based services are dependent on GPS
